About Jennifer
Jennifer Haghpanah is a materials chemist specializing in beauty and consumer products. She earned her PhD in materials chemistry from the Polytechnic Institute of NYU, completed a postdoc at Columbia University, and served as an adjunct professor at Barnard College. Since starting her industry career in 2015 at L'Oreal, she has worked across multiple organizations including Estee Lauder, Henkel, and Kenvue, focusing on developing innovative technologies, ensuring scientific rigor in product development, filing patents, and collaborating with marketing and clinical teams to bring new products to market. A member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, Haghpanah is also committed to STEM education and outreach. She participated in the NSF GK12 program during her graduate studies, judges for First LEGO League competitions, volunteers at Bring Your Child to Work Day events, and returns to Barnard College to give talks inspiring students about science careers in consumer packaged goods. Based in New York, NY, she continues to emphasize forward-thinking innovation while mentoring the next generation of scientists.
