Her Story
About Jennifer
Jennifer Haley has been at Mondo and in the staffing industry for about 12 years. She supports staffing resourcing for clients in IT, creative, and marketing fields. She entered the space after positive and negative experiences with recruiters while job hunting in sales around 2014, leading her to join Mondo that summer. She holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), her highest educational degree, completed in 2013. Beyond formal education, she has grown through experiential networking, conversations, and leadership and management training at Mondo. She attributes her success to unrelenting resiliency and ambition, shaped by her background as a collegiate athlete, emphasizing team motivation, character building, and the perspective that the grass is green where you water it. Her values center on being relationship-driven from the heart, prioritizing family, friends, and how one makes others feel. She advises young women entering the field to be themselves without shame, embracing authenticity especially as mothers. In her view, the biggest challenges in staffing today include layoffs, AI resumes, and noise that hinders connections, while the opportunity lies in building genuine human relationships to bridge the right people with the right roles.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jennifer
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to just an unrelenting resiliency and ambition. I am my own competition. Being a collegiate athlete instilled character building, team motivation, and resiliency. The grass is always green where you water it, and life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you choose to react to it. It's applicable in every sense of conversations, relationships, and realizing experiences are happening for us not to us.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be yourself. Don't be ashamed to be yourself. Your opinion of me is not my business. There's so much authenticity in women showing up fully themselves, especially as moms.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Biggest challenge is changes with layoffs, AI resumes, noise in the space making connections hard. Opportunity is building human relationships as a bridge between right people and right roles.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Relationship-driven, from the heart center, family, friends, relationships, how you make others feel and what you put out into the world.
