Jennifer Henderson

Attorney and legal leader with 25+ years of experience across government, corporate, and private practice. Currently General Counsel for the Road Commission for Oakland County, following four years as General Counsel and Director of Corporate Communications for Guardian Alarm and Guardian Medical Monitoring, overseeing contracts, transactions, risk management, and outside counsel. Previously in private practice, serving as an SCAO-certified mediator and case evaluator while advising businesses and representing clients in civil and criminal matters. Earlier, directed the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law’s Canadian & American Dual JD Program, managing operations, committees, and budgets for a program generating $6M+ annually, and taught Criminal Law. In Washington DC, was a Staff Attorney for the American Bar Association and the National District Attorneys Association. Started legal career as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. Holds a JD from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and a BA from the University of Michigan.
