Jennifer Kasey, Psy.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and owner of Redirection Counseling Services, LLC, a woman-led private practice providing individualized psychotherapy, leadership coaching, and transformative workshops. She maintains an active private practice serving adults and adolescents, with a focus on women, service members, veterans, and leaders navigating personal or professional transitions. In addition to her private practice, Jennifer provides telehealth services to active-duty service members under government contract, delivering evidence-based, culturally affirming care designed to enhance resilience, mental wellness, and personal growth. She is also a certified yoga instructor, integrating mind-body wellness techniques into her holistic approach to care.
Jennifer’s professional philosophy emphasizes creating safe, transparent, and empowering clinical spaces, where clients can explore challenges, build resilience, and achieve meaningful growth. She values balance, continual learning, and adaptability, attributing her success to consistency, humility, and the willingness to pivot in response to client needs. Beginning her career in 2005 through supervised practicum and internship placements, Jennifer completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Vanderbilt University/VA Medical Center consortium, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship and staff psychologist role at Vanderbilt. She served over eight years at a VA medical center, providing comprehensive care to veterans and their families while maintaining her private practice. In addition to clinical work, Jennifer has taught graduate-level courses at several universities, consulted with organizations on mental wellness, diversity, and leadership, and developed workshops for high-performing professionals. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys reading, bowling, spending time with friends, and practicing and teaching yoga, all of which reflect her commitment to balance, wellness, and community.

I attribute my success to maintaining a consistent learning mindset and approaching every challenge with curiosity and dedication. By committing to continuous growth, staying disciplined in my efforts, and embracing opportunities to expand my knowledge, I have been able to achieve meaningful results and consistently move forward in my professional journey.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that “the way we do anything is the way we do everything.” This has taught me the importance of approaching every task, big or small, with the same level of care, integrity, and attention to detail, knowing that my habits and standards in one area reflect my overall professionalism and impact.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be patient, trust yourself, seek mentors and communities that provide safe spaces for growth and vulnerability.

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty and integrity. I strive to be transparent, trustworthy, and ethical in every interaction, believing that these principles form the foundation for strong relationships, meaningful work, and lasting impact.
