About Jennifer
Jennifer Kaufman recently served as a school principal at a school for children with autism until about a month before the call. She has since focused her efforts on consulting, speaking, and training, working with first responders, college campus security teams, HR professionals, and C-level executives to create neurodivergent-friendly workplaces and community support systems. Kaufman wrote a book drawing from her professional experience and personal perspective as a grandmother of a child with autism. Based in the New York City area, she presents at conferences and to advocacy groups such as the Arc of New Jersey and ASSA while also completing media appearances, including in Houston. She attributes her drive to making the world more supportive for her grandson and others like him who need greater understanding and accommodations.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Making the world a better place for my grandson. That's really the essence of it.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Create a plan, even if it's just on a piece of paper with a pencil. Come up with contingencies. Use AI to help develop your plan and humans to give critical feedback. Then when you have a strong plan, take that leap and follow your passion.
