Jennifer Landry
Jennifer Landry is a dynamic entrepreneur and personal stylist based in Newport Beach, California, specializing in transformational experiences for men and aspiring Pilates instructors alike. As an independent stylist with J.Hilburn, she helps Orange County executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals elevate their wardrobes with custom, made-to-measure clothing. By bringing the showroom directly to her clients’ homes or offices, Jennifer ensures every piece—from boardroom suits to elevated casual wear and wedding attire—is tailored with precision, refined fabrics, and thoughtful details, helping her clients dress with confidence and authority. Beyond fashion, Jennifer is a dedicated Pilates instructor, teaching both group classes and private sessions designed to meet each client’s individual needs. Her approach to Pilates is highly personalized, addressing injuries, body-specific challenges, and therapeutic goals. Recognizing the importance of nurturing future instructors, she co-founded Precision Pilates Training, a program that trains aspiring teachers 3–4 times per year. The program emphasizes not only technical mastery but also helping new instructors develop their own voice, teaching style, and confidence, creating a lasting impact on the Pilates community. Jennifer’s background in psychology underpins her ability to connect with clients and understand their unique personalities, preferences, and goals. Whether she’s guiding a man through a wardrobe transformation or mentoring a Pilates instructor in training, her work centers on empowerment, confidence, and individualized growth. With over a decade of experience across fashion and fitness, Jennifer has built a reputation for delivering transformational results, helping clients look, feel, and perform their best in every aspect of life.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to perseverance, exceeding expectations, and embracing opportunities to reinvent myself. My career path became clear when I discovered my passion for fitness, which eventually led me to J.Hilburn. Early lessons from hardworking parents and formative jobs that emphasized leadership and accountability instilled in me the drive and discipline to pursue anything I set my mind to.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to never be afraid to ask for help. I’ve learned the value of seeking mentors who provide actionable guidance, staying organized by writing things down, and using calendar blocking to manage priorities effectively.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to believe in yourself and try everything. Don’t limit yourself based on your own beliefs or what others think you can do. It’s okay to fail—each experience helps you discover what fits your strengths and passions. Stay curious, keep evolving, pursue your ideas, and don’t be afraid to ask for help—no one is ever so far along that they can’t learn from others.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in the Pilates industry is bridging the gap between training and real-world teaching—new instructors often gain knowledge but lack the confidence and practical skills to lead classes effectively. At the same time, a key challenge is managing growth while avoiding burnout, ensuring sustainability and long-term success.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me in both work and life are hard work, perseverance, and accountability, coupled with adaptability and the courage to ask for help. I also prioritize helping others feel confident and empowered, fostering transformation both personally and professionally.
