About Jennifer
Jennifer Langford Wilson is a strategic operations executive and legal advisory professional with more than 20 years of experience leading organizational growth, operational transformation, and enterprise initiatives across legal, manufacturing, healthcare, and professional services. Her expertise includes legal operations, executive leadership, organizational development, human resources strategy, change management, finance and operational analytics, vendor negotiations, technology implementation, talent development, and process improvement. Her career includes serving as a law firm administrator, where she developed extensive experience overseeing day-to-day operations while partnering with leadership to improve efficiency, culture, and performance.
In 2026, Jennifer launched OpsAligned, a strategic operations and fractional COO practice designed to support law firms facing complex operational challenges. Drawing on her experience as a firm administrator, she recognized that many legal operations leaders are stretched thin and often lack the capacity to focus on long-term strategic initiatives. Through OpsAligned, Jennifer provides fractional COO-style support and legal operations advisory services, helping firms address strategic priorities while enabling their internal leaders to focus on core responsibilities. She also brings her expertise to speaking engagements focused on leadership resilience, workplace culture, burnout, boundaries, and sustainable careers in legal management.
Jennifer’s approach to leadership is deeply influenced by the resilience she witnessed in her parents after her father became paraplegic in a car accident shortly after their marriage. Their ability to adapt and rebuild their lives taught her the value of persistence, flexibility, and finding solutions when circumstances change. She encourages young professionals to learn as much as possible, step forward when their organizations need support, and use challenging experiences as opportunities to build skills and confidence. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, and rafting, and she supports causes including adaptive sports and entrepreneurship education. She has held leadership roles with the National Wheelchair Basketball Association and supports Boom EDU, which helps students develop entrepreneurial skills and contribute to economic development in their communities.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My drive comes from seeing my parents adapt after my dad became a paraplegic in a car accident just five months after they were married. Their adaptability and resilience in refiguring everything taught me to thrive in challenging situations, learn as much as possible even when overworked, and turn those experiences into stepping stones for future opportunities.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Learn everything you can. If someone is out on maternity or paternity leave, recovering from a procedure, or there's a staffing issue, offer to fill that gap. It may mean being overworked temporarily, but you will learn so much about the business, gain additional skills, learn about yourself and how hard you can push, which becomes a stepping stone and adds more to your resume.
