Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to effectively managing technicians, providing exceptional customer care, overseeing services and communications, and leading my team with guidance and support. Communication is key to a company’s success. I am so honored to work for a company that has allowed me to gain the experience and expertise in running multiple companies effectively.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received came from my mentor, Crystal Ybarra, who offered invaluable guidance and instrumental insights that have shaped my career in this industry. She is always there no matter what time of day. She has placed trust and value in me, which is allowed me to excel. She knows if I’m handling it, it will get done. That makes me feel extremely proud. Having a good manager makes a world of difference.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to take the initiative, put yourself out there, and fully dedicate yourself to your field. Always be honest and dependable, this will create more opportunities for you. Don’t give up on yourself. Rome was not built in one day. Suit up and show up everyday and do your best.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

We are in need of technicians right now for HVAC, plumbing and electrical.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value honesty, integrity, dependability, and respect—qualities that have guided me through seven years of sobriety and helped me rebuild my life and my relationship with my child. I hope to inspire others on their own journeys, and I hold deep admiration for Miss Kathleen’s Grace Ministries for the support they provide to women in addiction and those affected by human trafficking. Also Ms Carla who built Villages of Hope, where she is building tiny houses for women in recovery and human trafficking to recover and rebuild their lives. Her site villagesofhope.org. Without these woman and their support, I would not be where I am today. Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my children and staying focused on my health and staying active.
