Her Story

About Jennifer

Jennifer Lowe is an accomplished executive assistant and office manager with more than two decades of professional experience supporting senior leadership across private equity, real estate, and asset management organizations. She currently serves as executive assistant to the founding partners of a private equity firm, where she also oversees daily office operations. Before transitioning into administrative and executive support work, Jennifer built a career as a museum curator and educator, a foundation that continues to shape her appreciation for the arts and her ongoing interest in reconnecting with the American Association of Museums.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has distinguished herself through strong organizational skills, dependability, and an ability to remain composed under pressure, qualities that have allowed her to advance steadily into C-suite support roles. Among her notable professional achievements, she modernized operations at a wealth management firm by moving broker meeting coordination from paper-based tracking to a computerized system, significantly improving efficiency. Her academic background includes a bachelor's degree in art history from Juniata College, a master's degree in museum professions from Seton Hall University, and a second bachelor's degree in real estate studies, completed with Magna Cum Laude honors, from the University of Arizona Global Campus. She has further expanded her professional credentials by earning a paralegal certification and a notary public commission.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jennifer is committed to mentorship and community involvement. She regularly guides younger colleagues by sharing the lessons she's learned throughout her career, encouraging them not to sweat the small stuff, and championing the idea that women should uplift and support one another rather than compete. Her philanthropic engagement includes involvement with the American Association of Suicide Prevention, reflecting a broader commitment to causes beyond her career. Balancing professional excellence with a genuine dedication to helping others grow, Jennifer continues to be a steady, organized, and compassionate presence both in and out of the workplace.

Ten minutes with Jennifer

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my educational foundation, which includes a degree in art history, a master's in museum professions, and a second bachelor's degree that I completed in 2021, alongside earning my paralegal certification. Continuing to grow professionally, including becoming a notary, has also played a significant role, and I remain passionate about staying connected to the museum field through my involvement with the American Association of Museums.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would ask her to consider whether she possesses the right foundational skills — is she organized, timely, and able to manage deadlines effectively? I would also tell her that this line of work requires a thick skin, since the people you support can sometimes be difficult, and as their closest support, you may bear the brunt of their frustration. My advice is always to listen first, not take things personally, and instead focus on understanding what's causing the issue so you can find a way to resolve it.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Women supporting one another is deeply important to me. Too often, women bring each other down when we should instead be lifting one another up and helping each other succeed.
