Jennifer Malone, MSW
Jennifer Malone, MSW, is a perspicacious leader, professional growth strategist, and trauma and team resilience specialist committed to advancing holistic well-being, student success, and purpose-driven leadership. Guided by her faith and values, Jennifer integrates social work principles, coaching frameworks, and educational leadership practices to cultivate environments rooted in trust, collaboration, and empowerment. Her work reflects a deep commitment to dignity, authenticity, and transformational growth for individuals and teams.
As an Academic Advisor at the University of Kentucky, Jennifer supports pre-nursing and nursing students in staying on track to complete their degrees, providing personalized guidance and connecting them with campus resources when academic, personal, or life challenges arise. Beyond technical advising, she mentors and coaches students, creates safe spaces for difficult conversations, and helps students make informed decisions in their best interest. Her advising philosophy is student-centered and relationship-driven, emphasizing intentionality, advocacy, and expanding conversations beyond course scheduling to address the whole student experience.
Jennifer entered higher education after training and practice in social work and brings more than a decade of experience in social services and approximately six to seven years in higher education. Her background includes supervising and coaching students, leading parent-focused programs in early childhood education, and supporting vulnerable families and communities. She also organized and led a legislative advocacy day with parents and community leaders to promote childcare and early education policy support. Jennifer’s passion for mental wellness and resilience is the foundation of Ms. Fit Mental Fitness, inspired by her personal journey of cultivating mindset and resilience. Through compassionate leadership, intentional practice, and a strengths-based approach, she continues to empower students—particularly young women—to thrive academically, personally, and professionally.
