Her Story

About Jennifer

Jennifer Marinello is an elementary school principal in the Hamilton Township School District in New Jersey, where she has built a career in education spanning over two decades. She began her path as a classroom teacher in Levy County, Florida, before relocating to New Jersey, where she taught for thirteen years in the Mansfield Township School District. In 2015, she transitioned into administration as Supervisor of Math, STEM, and Title I within Hamilton Township, and since August 2018 she has led as an elementary school principal, now in her ninth year in that role. A graduate of the University of Florida for both her bachelor's and master's degrees, she also holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from The College of New Jersey, and she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership at the University of Florida.

Beyond her administrative duties, Jennifer is dedicated to strengthening the profession around her. She serves as a leader-to-leader mentor for aspiring administrators through the New Jersey Principal and Supervisor Association, and she presents and trains other educators through her involvement with Elevating Educators. Her professional focus centers on empowering teachers to refine their classroom practice in ways that create meaningful outcomes for students, and she brings that same intentionality to her work as a board member with FEA.

Outside the school building, Jennifer channels her energy into causes close to her heart. She supports Girls on the Run both at her own school and as an ambassador for the New Jersey East chapter, helping young girls build confidence and self-esteem through running. She also participates in Team in Training with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. A proud mother of two teenage sons, she can most often be found cheering them on at soccer, football, or basketball games, and in her personal time she enjoys running, reading, and relaxing at the beach. She is also the founder of Vita Forma, a brand built around helping others plan with purpose and live with intention.
