Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jennifer
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to determination and a willingness to learn. When I decide to accomplish something, I commit to figuring out what I need to know and doing whatever it takes to reach my goal, even when I don’t have all the answers at the start.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is that failure is not permanent. Every experience, whether successful or not, teaches me something valuable and helps me grow. I also believe in doing thorough research, seeking mentors, trusting myself, and maintaining healthy boundaries. My own career transition has shown me that it’s never too late to make a meaningful change, even when fear or uncertainty makes it feel otherwise.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women to set clear boundaries, do their research, seek mentors, and learn from those who have taken similar paths. Most importantly, believe in yourself and don’t be afraid to take a leap of faith. Even when something doesn’t work out, you gain valuable experience and learn from the process.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I see significant opportunities to support women navigating midlife changes through empathetic coaching, practical guidance, and accountability. One of my biggest challenges as an entrepreneur is growing a relatively new business and reaching more clients, which I’m addressing through marketing, research, networking, and service development. I also see opportunities to expand into group coaching and create new experiences through Trail Together, with the goal of growing both businesses over the next several years.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are compassion, empathy, and kindness. I strive to build trust through transparency, accountability, and following through on my commitments. I also value autonomy and curiosity, continually seeking to learn, grow, and understand new perspectives.
