Jennifer Olivarez
Jennifer Olivarez is a results-driven PEO Consultant at Employer Flexible, where she partners with executives, founders, and business owners to help them scale with confidence through strategic HR solutions. Based in San Antonio, she specializes in aligning organizations with right-sized Professional Employer Organization (PEO) models that streamline payroll, strengthen compliance, and deliver measurable cost savings. With a consultative, relationship-first approach, Jennifer empowers leaders to reduce administrative burden while maintaining control over their culture, people, and long-term vision.
Jennifer’s career journey reflects a steady progression built on adaptability, initiative, and a deep commitment to supporting business operations. She began her career in the oil and gas industry at Lewis Energy Group as a receptionist, where she quickly expanded her responsibilities by supporting leadership with ranch operations, contractor coordination, invoicing, and ensuring timely payments. Over nearly eight years, she developed a strong understanding of the personal and operational side of business. She later joined a San Antonio-based digital surveillance company, where she rose from front desk to office manager, becoming the central force behind day-to-day operations while supporting executive logistics and organizational efficiency. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jennifer transitioned into inside sales at Grainger, where she excelled under strong mentorship, became a top performer, and earned President’s Club recognition with an award trip to Maui.
Building on her success in sales, Jennifer was recruited to Paychex, where she discovered her passion for consultative, client-facing work in the PEO space. She thrived in helping business owners uncover inefficiencies, reduce time spent on HR complexities, and refocus on growth. Today, at Employer Flexible, she continues that mission with a high-touch, solutions-oriented approach, backed by leadership she trusts to deliver on every promise. Jennifer is passionate about helping companies simplify HR, reduce risk, and implement scalable strategies that support both operational success and long-term growth, positioning herself as a trusted partner to every organization she serves.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my parents. They did a really good job raising me. My dad was a business owner himself, so watching him thrive and seeing what things didn't work taught me so much. My mom was the payroll person, and I would sometimes hear the conversations between the two business owners. I have funny memories like hearing my mom say a check bounced and wondering how paper could bounce, or hearing my dad say he had to fire someone and thinking as a kid that he literally put people on fire since he was a welder. But watching them put their business together and run it, and just showing us children the work ethic and how to get out there and not just necessarily count on the corporate world to make your money - they showed us how to be who we are today.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received came from my friend who was promoting me to the inside sales position at Grainger. When I told her I didn't know if I could do sales because I'd never done it before, she said, 'Jen, you sell stuff all the time, you just don't realize it. You sell to the CEO by telling him to choose this vendor to run his business, or let's have our meeting at this restaurant because of XYZ.' That made me realize I had been selling all along, I just didn't see it that way. It gave me the confidence to take that leap into sales.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say, stay curious. Be brave. And build relationships, meaningful relationships. And never give up. Never give up.
