About Jennifer
My passion for skincare and products began when I was a child. It was only natural that I chose the beauty industry. My career has been all-encompassing, including working behind the chair, show work, international product manufacturer trainer and beauty school instructor. I have worked and trained with some of the most talented and recognized in the industry. I am skilled in formulating, Reiki and aromatherapy. I have also worked in upper corporate management in the areas of service and logistics. My experience, accomplishments and awards are vast but my greatest pride lies with my true passion: the products I have created with Inviting Effects.
Self-care has become increasingly more important and necessary to our well-being. Inviting Effects started in 2020. Inviting Effects formulates products that are consumer focused. We listened to what people were looking for - natural, quality, effective and affordable. Then elevated it by making products that also addressed mindset and could be used for multiple uses.
The Inviting Effects approach is Thoughtful, Intentional, Inspired, and Elevated—from concept to execution. Thoughtful and intentional in ingredient selection, formulation, and product performance. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I view success differently. To me, success means living happily, pursuing your passions while being kind and having a positive impact on others. I attribute that to my mother, my strength and my perseverance. Life will bring you challenges; it’s about finding a way to overcome them. The more grateful I am, the more I find to be grateful for.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
This is a compilation of some of the best advice I have received over the years. Some has come from extraordinary people, some has been self realized.
- Never give up. There's always a way, a solution.
- Doing what is expected is a low bar. Do what you know is needed because your work ethic is a reflection of you.
- Believe in yourself and that will show in your actions resulting in others believing in you too.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never stop learning and seek out opportunities to grow. Look at every person and experience with appreciation; they may turn out to be important, a lesson or a bridge.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is that it is a crowded market. But that challenge lends itself to opportunity by opening the door to specializing in specific consumer needs. Using information about what people are struggling with or searching for and formulating to those needs creates an opportunity to provide something meaningful. My approach is simple: effective, quality products that are consumer-focused.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My work and personal life are intertwined. My values are the basis for both. My business is built on being thoughtful, intentional, inspired and elevated. My business is also influenced by my personal values of kindness, gratitude, honesty and being genuine.
