Jennifer Paxton Reynolds

Jennifer Paxton serves as a Doctor of Healthcare Administration within the healthcare industry. She began her career in the field around 2009 following the recession of 2008, after being laid off from a prior role as a horse wrangler. Paxton earned an Associates of Nursing and a Bachelor's of Exercise Science before completing her doctorate in May. Her academic path includes studies at Winston-Salem State University, Wake Forest University, and Virginia University of Lynchburg, where she also conducted stem cell research as a published scientist. She completed an internship at the Guilford County Department of Public Health in Greensboro, North Carolina. Paxton maintains memberships in the American College of Healthcare Executives and Professionals in Transition. She credits mentors including Jacqueline Dormany Jackson and Dr. Steve Aragon for guiding her transition from clinical and dance backgrounds into healthcare administration. Outside her primary role, Paxton manages properties in North and South Carolina with her partner, and she volunteers with St. Jude's.
