About Jennifer
My journey in public safety began 23 years ago when I started as a 911 operator at age 21 in Seminole County, Central Florida. I never imagined it would become my career, but over 14 years I grew from operator to training officer to second senior supervisor. Although I had planned to become a director, that path didn't work out, but as I believe, somebody's no always leads to a better yes. That led me to APCO International, one of the largest training organizations for 911, where I took my first sales role working on their telecom software. From there, I joined RapidSOS, one of the largest location data providers in the industry, where I spent over 4 years traveling across the U.S. speaking about the impacts of 911 and the critical importance of location accuracy. My background when I left my 911 center was really focused on understanding the location errors and information we weren't receiving at the time. For the past 3 years, I've been with InDigital as Regional Account Manager, working with one of the largest call routing providers in the industry. I handle almost all of the Southeast territory, focusing on next-gen call routing and helping build infrastructure for agencies that don't yet have the technology for device-based location and advanced call routing. A typical day finds me either at conferences, visiting 911 sites, or spending 3 to 4 days a week on the road training staff and working with directors to revamp their centers with better technology. Beyond my corporate role, I'm deeply committed to supporting the people in this industry. I do extensive speaking on the health and wellness challenges that 911 professionals face, and I'm currently a candidate for the Private Sector Director position on the National Emergency Number Association board, a 3-year term that would be a tremendous accomplishment in my career.
