Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jennifer
01What do you attribute your success to?
Really just being a better person each day. I want to be better than I was yesterday. I have two kids, my family, who I want to be a great role model for. I've gone through a lot of things in life, a divorce in my past, being a single mom at one point, working 60-plus hours a week. I've seen some not-so-nice times and worked my butt off to provide a better life and be a good role model. I also have lupus and have had turmoil being sick but muddled through it. I want to inspire others that you can push yourself.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Find your passion of what you love to do. Navigate a little bit into what you like to do and then put yourself out there. Network, meet new people. Education is important but also having a skill or a trade. Take the opportunity, don't be afraid, put yourself out there, network, meet new people. First impressions are everything because you can't take that back.
