Jennifer Scheopner
Jennifer Scheopner is a seasoned professional in the mortgage and home loans industry, with over 25 years of experience spanning bank operations, loan processing, and contract work. She began her career in a small-town bank as a teller, gaining hands-on experience with loan documentation and cross-training in a tightly knit team. This early exposure laid the foundation for her analytical approach and attention to detail, which would become hallmarks of her work in mortgage processing.
Over the years, Jennifer expanded her expertise by working as a loan processor for home builders in Denver and Arizona, managing large pipelines of residential and new-construction loans. She later launched her own contract processing business in 2021, navigating the complexities of Non-QM, FHA, VA, and conventional loans while balancing client communications and compliance requirements. Her contract experience sharpened her skills in time management, organization, and compliance, and allowed her to work remotely across multiple states.
In 2025, Jennifer joined a top four Texas broker as an in-house senior loan processor, where she continues to handle a wide range of loan types, from residential to business-purpose mortgages. Known for her analytical mindset, commitment to continuous learning, and strong professional values of trust, honesty, and loyalty, she thrives in a dynamic environment where no two loans are alike. Jennifer’s career reflects a dedication to mastering her craft while adapting to the evolving demands of the mortgage industry.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my strong motivation and goal-oriented mindset, always striving to improve and be better than I was the day before.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women entering the mortgage industry to stay persistent, embrace their mistakes as learning opportunities, and always get back up after setbacks—never give up.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I think the challenges are that the market seems to be very volatile right now, and has been for quite a few years. It just makes it hard sometimes if you're not with the right company. I feel like with the company I'm in now, they're very competitive in the market, and they have a different strategy than most. I think it's just constantly being on top of your game and knowing what you're doing, and keep educating yourself. You can't get stagnant, you have to stay constantly growing and learning to stay relevant.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I think honesty and loyalty are both important professionally and personally. I feel like you have to have a really trusting relationship. As a processor, you need to be able to trust your partner, and that's the loan officer that you're working with. I think the same goes in your personal life. I just got married a few years ago, and it took a long time after my divorce from my kid's dad to earn that trust back. Trust is a big thing. When it's gone, it's gone. It's hard to rebuild.
