About Jennifer

Jennifer Schlieper serves as co-owner, director, producer, and writer at Flying Scooter Productions, a brand strategy and film studio based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. With a background spanning 25 years in the industry, including creative roles at Ketchum and as Senior Director of Marketing at GNC where she oversaw a team of about 100 people for national and international efforts, she co-founded the company 10 years ago with her producing partner Courtney Gumpfs. The studio works with international clients on documentaries, corporate pieces, and commercials, focusing on sectors such as CPG, law, and manufacturing. Schlieper earned a BA in marketing and writing from Duquesne University and applies her skills as a creative director and writer, having developed her filmmaking expertise through hands-on experience rather than formal film school. She has been nominated for 7 Emmys. Beyond her work, she is a board member of PAFIA, an advocacy organization for film in the Commonwealth, and the Beauty Restores Foundation. She co-founded the Amelia Project, a 501c3 non-profit that brings in and trains kids in film and production, and supports another non-profit providing funding for independent filmmakers.
