Jennifer Shelton is a clinical research executive with over 15 years of progressive leadership in global clinical operations, specializing in trial oversight, FSP (Functional Service Provider) solutions, and operational strategy. As a Solution Executive at Actalent, she leads initiatives that drive innovation, resource optimization, and high-quality outcomes across complex clinical trial portfolios.

Jennifer’s expertise spans a wide range of therapeutic areas and includes deep knowledge in clinical study management, stakeholder engagement, performance metrics, and regulatory compliance. Her background includes significant contributions as a Senior CRA and in leadership roles across top CROs and biopharma organizations, including Emmes, Labcorp, and ICON, where she led diverse, cross-functional teams supporting large-scale global trials.

Known for her ability to build and mentor high-performing teams, Jennifer excels in developing scalable operational frameworks that support long-term success for sponsors and partners. Her passion lies in elevating clinical operations through strategic talent deployment, KPI-driven oversight, and collaborative problem-solving.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Columbus State University and a Technical Nursing Degree from TriRivers Career Center. She continues to champion workforce development and diversity in clinical research, actively participating in leadership summits, industry panels, and mentoring initiatives.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys a full and vibrant personal life. She is a proud mother of five and grandmother to four. Her favorite pastimes include flower gardening, bird watching, DIY projects, and caring for her beloved cats.
