What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to persistence, curiosity, and the support of an incredible community around me. After serving seven years in the Navy and working in the supply chain, I saw firsthand the critical gaps in healthcare logistics. That insight led me to pursue a career in healthcare supply management, where I’ve worked my way up into a leadership role. With 17 years of clinical experience in the operating room, I’ve learned that asking questions, staying fearless, and believing in your path can open doors. I want women reading this to know that anything is possible—just keep going.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to never be afraid to speak up, be persistent, and always ask questions. Confidence and curiosity open doors—and sometimes, simply asking the right question can change the course of your career.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: you can do this—even on your own. You will succeed through relentless hard work, asking questions, and never giving up. Stay focused, stay persistent, and trust that you belong here.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in the healthcare field right now is finding smarter, more efficient ways to manage vendor relationships while keeping patient care at the forefront. I focus heavily on working with vendors to streamline supply chain processes and reduce costs, all while maintaining quality and ensuring that patient demographic needs are met. There’s a real opportunity to drive impactful change by improving operational efficiency and optimizing spending in ways that directly benefit both providers and patients.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me—both professionally and personally—are love, balance, and connection. I find grounding and inspiration in nature, and my greatest joy comes from spending time with my children and my grandson. In my work, I bring that same care and dedication, always striving to create meaningful impact while staying true to who I am outside the office. Family and purpose keep me motivated every day.
