Jennifer Tavis

Jennifer Tavis is the Owner of Vibrant Project Management, a consulting firm she founded in 2022 after several decades of experience in project management and organizational operations leadership across New York City government agencies. Her roles have included positions at the Department of Small Business Services, the Human Resources Administration, and the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission. One of her most notable achievements was launching IDNYC, New York City's municipal ID card program, in 2015. She built the program from the ground up, hiring the team, designing operations, overseeing technology implementation, and setting up enrollment locations. The program proved highly popular, requiring operations to be quadrupled in the first few months, and enrolled 750,000 New Yorkers in its first year. She holds a Bachelor's of Comparative Literature with a focus in French and Spanish from Barnard College and a Master's in Public Administration with a concentration in finance from NYU Wagner, which she attended on the Mayor's Graduate Scholarship. Her professional certifications include Project Management Professional from PMI, Authorized Training Partner Instructor for PMI, Cognitive Project Management in AI from PMI, and Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. She has volunteered with New York Cares and enjoys writing romance novels under a pen name, as well as gardening, baking, and home repairs.
