Her Story

About Jennifer

Jennifer Wolcott specializes in B2B SaaS marketing, an area she has focused on since beginning her career in 2016 at IP.com, a patent search tool company. This role sparked her interest in SaaS technology and how businesses utilize various products. She progressed to Ampliance, where she engaged with enterprise retail and larger brands through a CMS and DAM system, followed by an ed tech company and more recent positions in social enterprise and enterprise retail involving social listening, media monitoring, and management. Her educational background in hospitality management from Rochester Institute of Technology has shaped her management approach and ability to build relationships, skills honed through event work and daily interactions at a country club. A notable achievement includes her promotion at Amplify to lead the North America and LATAM marketing team, overseeing campaign managers across regions and developing both regional and global campaigns. She credits her success to a strong work ethic and a drive to tackle new challenges, advice she extends to others by encouraging them to do the hard thing and embrace growth opportunities. In her view, the field offers abundant marketing roles but presents challenges in gaining visibility amid high competition. She values honesty, transparency, and maintaining a human touch in corporate environments.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jennifer

01What do you attribute your success to?

I've always been a hard worker and just kind of always wanting to do well for myself. Always wanting to just prove to myself that I can do things, whether they're hard or something new. I think that has been part of it.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Do the hard thing. Do something that is going to challenge you. I think that I've gotten that advice in the past on when I was questioning a career move, or in that promotion I was just mentioning, it was people management was something I never had done. And I think it always ends up working out, whether it's just you learn a new skill, you just grow in a way you weren't before.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Just be confident, even if at times you don't feel confident. I think even just showing up in the room with some confidence kind of goes a long way, especially when you're talking with leadership. And that typically ends up getting you further. You can speak up and keep your values true to yourself.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest opportunities are that there are a lot of marketing roles out there right now. The challenge is getting visibility to those companies and those hiring managers, specifically in the marketing field, just because there's so many. It's overpopulated.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty, transparency, and being human. I find that sometimes being human gets lost in corporate settings.
