Jennifer Wadsworth, MLS, is a highly accomplished law enforcement professional and tactical trainer with a career spanning over three decades. She began her journey as the first female police officer in Monson, Massachusetts, where she served as a Rape/Child Sexual Assault Investigator and DARE Officer. Throughout her law enforcement career, Jennifer honed her expertise in defensive tactics, use of force, and less-lethal technologies, earning senior certifications in multiple areas including Force Science, Verbal Defense and Influence, and Tactical Handcuffing. Her commitment to excellence and safety has been a hallmark of her career, shaping her reputation as a trusted instructor and leader.

Transitioning from active duty, Jennifer has dedicated herself to training and mentoring the next generation of law enforcement professionals. As an Academy Manager at MGM Resorts International, she oversaw corporate-wide training programs, implementing standardized curricula across multiple properties on topics such as use of force, anti-terrorism, crisis response, and de-escalation. In her role as an adjunct senior instructor at Safariland, she continues to deliver hands-on instruction and program development, ensuring officers nationwide are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for modern policing.

Jennifer’s academic achievements complement her professional expertise. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Western New England College and a Master’s in Legal Studies from Trinity Law School, with additional credentials in nutrition and fitness coaching. Her dedication extends beyond training; she serves as Board Chair for the Hughes Foundation, demonstrating her commitment to community service and professional development. Known for her leadership, tactical expertise, and advocacy for personal accountability in law enforcement, Jennifer is a respected voice in her field, shaping both policy and practice through education, mentorship, and hands-on training.

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to starting my career as a police officer, traveling to train fellow officers, and dedicating myself to helping them stay safe—I'm grateful to be in a field I love and am now pursuing a doctoral degree in law to continue growing.
