She began as the owner and operator of a successful brick-and-mortar boutique, Southern Mama Monograms, which she ran from 2014 to 2019. Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the strong relationships I have built throughout my career, many of which I maintain to this day, with former employers continuing to serve as references. While it was difficult to leave each role, my transitions were driven by opportunities for greater compensation and long-term growth. My personal health journey also played a defining role in shaping my resilience and perspective—after a serious surgical complication left me temporarily unable to walk or work, I spent nearly three years rebuilding my strength with the support of my community. This experience, along with my background as a former business owner and CEO, has enabled me to effectively support high-level leaders by anticipating their needs and contributing strategically to their success.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that success comes from a strong work ethic and the relationships you build along the way. By consistently giving my best effort and investing in meaningful professional connections, I’ve been able to create opportunities, earn trust, and sustain long-term career growth.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering this industry that it is absolutely possible to build a successful, fulfilling career while still enjoying a meaningful personal life. Prioritize what matters to you, work hard, and stay committed to your goals—but also make time for the things that bring you joy, whether that’s spending time with family, gardening, or baking. A well-balanced life not only supports your well-being but also enhances your ability to thrive professionally.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

As someone who is seven months into my new role in real estate, I see one of the biggest opportunities as continuing to grow and strengthen my network. I genuinely enjoy meeting new people, building connections, and bringing a positive energy into every interaction. At the same time, I recognize that working in any industry can be challenging, as you never truly know what others may be going through. That perspective motivates me to lead with kindness—whether it’s greeting someone, offering a compliment, or simply being present. Expanding my network is not just about professional growth, but about creating meaningful connections, as you never know the impact you can have or the opportunities that may arise from a simple interaction.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are perspective, gratitude, compassion, and connection. My health journey changed how I see life, teaching me to appreciate every moment and give back by supporting others and sharing my story. Family is my top priority, and I strive to spread kindness in everyday interactions, knowing even small gestures can make a meaningful difference.
