Her Story

About Jenny

Jenny Cabido is a luxury hospitality and travel professional with 15 years of experience spanning luxury hospitality, vacation rentals, retail, and client-focused sales. She currently serves as Director of Strategic Partnerships at The Maimon Group, where she leads partnership strategy across enterprise, channel, and referral segments for a luxury short-term rental portfolio in Los Angeles. Her work involves managing high-value partnerships and delivering exceptional experiences for discerning clients through a combination of strategic relationship management, hospitality expertise, and personalized service. Jenny began her hospitality career in Montauk, New York, where she led the rebrand, redesign, relaunch, and operational turnaround of Haven Montauk Hotel, transforming the property from a modest hotel into a premier destination. She later founded Rm09, a boutique located within the hotel, which featured hostess gifts, beachwear, and women's and children's clothing and received editorial recognition from publications including Vogue and Women's Wear Daily. After relocating to California, she transitioned into the vacation rental industry and later expanded into luxury hospitality. Her background also includes luxury account management at The RealReal and senior sales work at Vacasa, where she developed extensive expertise in business development, sales, partnerships, and client relations. Jenny is deeply committed to relationships, service, and community. She attributes her success to gratitude, personal connections, and recognizing that meaningful achievements are built through teamwork rather than individual effort. Her professional values center on integrity, responsiveness, excellence, and persistence. Outside of her career, she is actively involved in her community through St. Charles Church, food-bank volunteering, previously served as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate with San Francisco CASA, and has supported GEMS, a nonprofit program serving women and children affected by trafficking. She also enjoys traveling with her two daughters, attending music festivals and concerts, discovering new hotels and properties, and exploring farmers' markets.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jenny

01What do you attribute your success to?

I believe my success is shared with the people who have supported me throughout my career. I have received countless helping hands, whether through advice, kindness, opportunities, or meaningful relationships. I attribute much of my success to my ability to connect with people on a deep and personal level, as well as to living with gratitude and recognizing that the strength of any organization comes from the team. I believe we win together and fail together, so my success is never mine alone—it is shared with the many people who have been part of my journey.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice is to show up fully and completely, regardless of the position you are in. Even if a job is only a stepping stone or you do not expect to stay there forever, give it your full effort and be someone others can rely on. People gravitate toward those who consistently show up, and the relationships and connections you build throughout your career can have a lasting impact. Your reputation follows you, so be conscious of how you treat other people's time and energy. Even a former coworker from a job you did not enjoy may ultimately become someone who recommends you for your next opportunity.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in luxury hospitality is having enough inventory to meet the highly specific needs of ultra-high-net-worth clients. These clients often know exactly what they want, from the design and location of a property to the number of bedrooms and the services available. Meeting those requirements requires access to a strong portfolio of properties and trusted relationships throughout the industry.

Because luxury hospitality is a relatively small and relationship-driven industry, reputation is extremely important. There will be times when expectations are not fully met, and the key is how quickly and effectively we respond. Another important challenge and opportunity is finding the right balance between technology and personal service. AI and other technology can be valuable tools, but they should enhance rather than replace the human touch. Clients still want to know that they can reach a real person who understands their needs and is committed to helping them.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is my number-one value, and I believe in leading with integrity in everything I do. Responsiveness is also extremely important to me. When someone calls or messages me because they need something, I take pride in acknowledging them, even if I do not immediately have the answer. I also value excellence and persistence. I do not stop until I have done everything I can to get the job done. I believe that being dependable, responsive, and committed to excellence is especially important in a relationship-driven industry like luxury hospitality.
