About Jenny
Jenny Lumbrera is the Customer Experience Manager at Five Below in San Angelo, Texas. She has held this position for almost five years after deciding to pursue employment following a personal transformation in which she gave her life to the Lord. Prior to this role, Lumbrera had no formal educational background. She takes pride in serving customers at the store location and attributes her success entirely to her faith, noting that without the Lord she would not be where she is today. Lumbrera advises staying hopeful, kind, compassionate, diligent, and taking things one step at a time. She values focus, family, church, work-life balance, and integrity while navigating daily challenges by remaining centered on her career and personal priorities.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I would definitely suggest to the Lord, and I thank the Lord for my success, and for everything. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be where I am today.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Just stay hopeful, be kind, have compassion, and be a hard worker. Stay diligent.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Just to take it one step at a time, or one day at a time.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
There's challenges every day. You just have to always just stay focused. I focus on myself, my career, on everything.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
To be focused, and always like family. My values are still my family. Like, I have my kids, and you know, my church, and, you know, but of course, my work, and I try to keep everything balanced. Always stay with integrity.
