Her Story

About Jenny

Jenny Miller is a published author, advocate, and Sunday School teacher based in Casper, Wyoming, whose work centers on helping others heal from abuse and navigate serious health challenges. She released her debut memoir, Remembering When: The Power of Prayer Through a Lifetime of Abuse, in 2012, drawing on decades of personal reflection that began when a counselor first encouraged her to journal her experiences in 1987. She later expanded her literary work with a poetry collection, Praises, Prayers, and Promises, and continues to write both a sequel to her memoir and a new project focused on living with hydrocephalus. Beyond her writing, Miller is a respected speaker and advocate who arranges her own speaking engagements and book signings for audiences interested in abuse recovery and resilience.

Miller's professional path has been shaped by both service and perseverance. She earned her Medical Assistant diploma from Galen College of Medical and Dental Assistants in 1989, graduating with high scholastic honors and perfect attendance, and earlier gained recognition as Employee of the Month during her time in medical billing administration. Her academic background also includes strong involvement in drama, speech, and journalism during high school, where she won first place in state competition for drama two years running. These formative experiences in communication and performance have informed her comfort with public speaking and storytelling later in life.

Deeply committed to community service, Miller has spent over a decade as coordinator of the Wyoming Hydrocephalus Support Group, a cause she took up after undergoing brain surgery for the condition herself, and she partners with the National Hydrocephalus Foundation to extend her outreach. She also devotes her time to teaching Sunday School and has been recognized for her contributions through a nomination to Covington's Who's Who and an upcoming feature as one of Casper, Wyoming's Influential Women for 2026. Guided by her faith and grounded in values of honesty, dependability, and perseverance, Miller continues to use her personal story as a source of encouragement for others facing similar struggles.
