About Jenny
With more than 28 years in the insurance industry, I have built my career around helping businesses manage complex and emerging risks. My expertise spans cyber liability, professional liability, and commercial insurance, with a focus on delivering thoughtful underwriting solutions that balance client needs with sustainable portfolio performance.
As a Senior Underwriter at The Hartford, I partner closely with brokers and clients to evaluate evolving exposures and structure tailored coverage solutions. Prior to The Hartford, I held underwriting leadership positions with Amwins and Chubb, where I gained extensive experience in cyber and professional liability underwriting.
I am committed to continuous learning, relationship-building, and advancing excellence within the specialty insurance marketplace. I believe successful underwriting requires both technical expertise and a deep understanding of how risk is changing in today's increasingly connected world.

Ten minutes with Jenny
01What do you attribute your success to?
My success is the result of combining technical expertise with a genuine commitment to people. Building trusted relationships, staying adaptable in an evolving risk environment, and consistently approaching challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset have been key drivers throughout my career. I have also been fortunate to work alongside exceptional mentors, colleagues, and business partners who have influenced my growth and development.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I received was to be confident in my expertise and not be afraid to have a seat at the table. Early in my career, I learned that growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone, sharing your perspective, and taking on new challenges. That mindset has helped me develop both professionally and personally throughout my career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be curious, be confident, and be willing to take on challenges. Invest in building your technical expertise, seek mentors who can help guide your growth, and don't underestimate the value of your voice. The insurance industry offers incredible opportunities for women to lead, innovate, and make a difference. Believe in yourself, continue learning, and don't be afraid to pursue opportunities that stretch your skills and expand your horizons.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in cyber insurance today is keeping pace with the constantly evolving threat landscape. Cyber risks continue to grow in complexity, from ransomware and business email compromise to emerging concerns around artificial intelligence and third-party supply chain exposures. As underwriters, we must continually adapt our understanding of these risks while helping clients strengthen their cybersecurity posture.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, resilience, and respect for others are the values most important to me. I believe in doing the right thing, continuously learning and adapting, and building strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect. Whether at work or in my personal life, I strive to lead with empathy, remain open to new perspectives, and support those around me in achieving their goals.
