About Jenny
Jenny Turner serves as co-owner and producer at Mazoo Films, a film production company she founded with her business partner in 2021. With roughly 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry, she has built a career as a documentary filmmaker specializing in artist biopics and unscripted content. After earning a bachelor's degree in journalism from the Grady School at the University of Georgia, she launched her professional journey at Creative Artist Agency in Los Angeles. She subsequently worked on various film sets and at major production companies, including an extended tenure at Radical Media in unscripted content, which led to her current partnership. Turner attributes her success to persistence, passion, and a strong work ethic, and she values honesty, loyalty, kindness, and gratitude in both her professional and personal life. She supports ocean conservation through the Surfrider Foundation and the Oyster Lake Preservation Society.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say that I don't give up. I'm not a quitter for better or worse. I have passion and I'm a hard worker.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Being willing to work hard and learning every single day especially in the beginning. Every project is different. When you have small teams you have to do lots of different jobs. Learning how to do a lot of different things has been really helpful and no task is too big or too small. Be willing to learn without an ego. Really find stuff that you're interested in and follow your passions.

Honesty, loyalty, kindness, and gratitude are really important to me.
