Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jenny
01What do you attribute your success to?
I like the word tenacious. I'd like to say out-of-the-box thinking and being a disruptor, not accepting status quo. I really hunker down and work very hard at something, and I'm a dog at a bone when something is wrong, solving problems. That's really where I thrive.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Navigating things strategically, continuing to be inquisitive even when you maybe know the right answer. Lead everyone to water instead of just crusading yourself there. Making sure that other people are on board with your vision helps get you advocates along the way. Leading with strategic thoughts and being Socratic in method and asking questions.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Speaking up for yourself is the most difficult thing when you're young in the industry. Making allies and connections outside of just your group. Think of what is your sphere of influence. Having a sphere of influence gives you cushion.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Health and wellness is really important for me to have the stamina for my day-to-day. Workouts, reprieve like maybe even go golfing, or have time with friends who are not in my industry lane. Rejuvenating with health and wellness. Getting out of your day-to-day.
