Jessa Turner is a marketing and communications leader with 20 years of experience in public relations, marketing, and communications. She serves as Director for Marketing and Communications at Tech Parks Arizona, where she directs and executes all marketing and communication activities for the organization's two science and tech parks and business incubator. Her responsibilities include media relations, tenant relations, event planning, and presentation proposals. She holds a bachelor's degree in economics with a minor in marketing from the University of Arizona, which she received in 2001. She is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, where she has served 14 years, including as chapter president twice and as Western District Representative. She previously served on the board of Greater Tucson Leadership. She values being team-oriented, telling stories to make an impact, maintaining high integrity, and doing work for the greater good. 01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I'm a big fan of Abe Lincoln and his honesty and transparency. It's been a foundation for me. I also believe that preparation is the key for success, and that's probably the greatest piece of advice I've been given.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Take a long-term outlook. Celebrate the successes but also reflect on areas of improvement.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I'm team-oriented and want to make an impact by telling stories. I have a high sense of integrity and want to do stuff that's for the greater good.
