Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to perseverance, adaptability, and a deep sense of purpose shaped by my personal and professional journey. As a proud stay-at-home mom to a child with special needs, I learned patience, organization, and resilience, skills that became invaluable when I decided to return to school and graduate with honors. That experience taught me that determination can overcome any challenge. From there, I pursued a career in project management where I discovered my passion for structure, data, and efficiency. I built and managed complex systems, developed detailed Excel spreadsheets to improve processes, and eventually transitioned into the trucking and energy industries. Each step has strengthened my problem-solving abilities and commitment to continuous growth. I take pride in knowing that my path reflects hard work, adaptability, and the drive to turn every challenge into an opportunity for success.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from several people who have guided and inspired me. From my aunt Linda Delcampo, I learned perseverance and self-belief. My aunt’s support through life has taught me the value of loving encouragement and dedication. Katy Garcia, my best friend since high school, reminded me of the importance of lasting connections through growth and hardship. Todd Tarlton, an Aircraft Mechanic who influenced me through hands-on experiences, inspired my curiosity and drive to learn more about Aviation. My son Landon Barber, who graduated with honors in Cyber Security, motivates me every day with his determination and focus.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to take responsibility for your work and learn from every mistake, as each experience is an opportunity to grow. Always lead with integrity and hold yourself accountable in everything you do. Take pride in your progress, your efforts, and the person you’re becoming—because confidence and character will carry you further than anything else.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are love, creativity, and kindness. My son is my greatest inspiration and the reason I strive to be my best every day. I find balance and joy through cooking, reading, and baking—activities that allow me to express myself and bring happiness to others. Above all, I value making people feel appreciated and cared for, whether it’s through my work or simple acts of kindness in everyday life.
