Q

What do you attribute your success to?

My success began with a personal experience — caring for my grandmother during her cancer battle, which sparked my passion for healing and preventative care. That journey led me to open my first wellness center over a decade ago, eventually expanding into clean skincare, CBD products, and holistic services. Today, MBS Wellness Center offers integrated care for mind, body, and spirit, and I'm proud to continue growing both our offerings and my own education in mental health.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is: follow the need, not the noise. I didn’t set out to become a wellness entrepreneur — I simply recognized where people were underserved and built solutions around those needs. That purpose-driven approach has guided every step of my journey, even when it meant taking risks, like launching a CBD line when stigma was high. If your work aligns with your values and truly helps others, the impact will speak for itself.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the wellness or entrepreneurial space is to lead with empathy, but operate with strategy. Passion is powerful, but planning, consistency, and a strong support network are what sustain it. Surround yourself with people who share your values and aren’t afraid to challenge you. And most importantly — never stop learning. Growth is a lifelong process, and your evolution will be your greatest asset.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is balancing the demands of business growth with family life — a common struggle for many working mothers. At the same time, there’s a real opportunity to advocate for greater access to essential wellness services. I’ve worked with organizations like the ACA to push for insurance coverage of treatments like lymphatic drainage and oncology massage, which are often overlooked but deeply needed. It’s a constant balancing act, but also a chance to drive meaningful change in how holistic care is valued.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide both my work and personal life are integrity, empowerment, balance, and education. I believe in standing behind everything I offer — serving with honesty and selling only what I truly believe in. Empowering others, especially women and young people, is central to my mission. I strive for balance between family, business, and personal wellness, even when it’s imperfect. And I’m deeply committed to education — for myself, my clients, and the broader community — because knowledge is the foundation of lasting change.
