She served on the Central Inventory Management team at Neiman Marcus Group, where her responsibilities included reconciling inventory counts, managing vendor-owned merchandise for premium brands including Chanel and Balenciaga, and performing data analytics tasks with SQL queries and Excel spreadsheets. In 2022, she completed a master's degree in data analytics at Western Governors University, which enhanced her contributions to inventory systems and vendor relations. Beyond her professional work, Jessica is an artist specializing in welded steel sculpture and maintains membership in the Texas Sculpture Association. She also supports the Audubon Society and serves as a Democratic precinct chair. One piece of career advice she values is to not take work too seriously, recognizing that the team is not making pacemakers and that it is important to shut off work at the end of the day.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't take it too seriously. We're not making pacemakers. At the end of the workday, work is shut off. I don't sweat about it, I don't think about it more. It's a weight. And it makes a big difference. Because I used to worry a lot.
