Ten minutes with Jessica
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the incredible people I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside, and above all, to God, who has blessed me with the opportunities to serve in each of my three roles.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the best pieces of career advice I’ve received is that you can’t please everyone. For a long time, I tried to meet everyone’s expectations, but I eventually learned that my responsibility isn’t to please everyone—it’s to do what is right and lead with integrity. Not everyone may agree with you or be pleased with every decision, but staying true to your values and doing your best work with integrity is what matters most.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Prioritize your time, give your best effort, and strive to go above and beyond rather than simply checking boxes. Most importantly, focus on finding opportunities and environments that are the right fit for you—not simply the next paycheck. When you find work that aligns with your values, strengths, and goals, you’re able to bring so much more to the table.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I believe communication is essential in any field and at every stage of a process. Making a conscious effort to communicate clearly, consistently, and effectively helps ensure everyone is on the same page, builds trust, and allows challenges to be addressed before they become larger issues. Whether working with a client, colleague, or team, I believe strong communication is key to creating a positive and successful experience.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity and trust are core values that guide how I approach both my professional and personal relationships. I value building genuine connections with others and believe that strong relationships are built on trust, respect, and authenticity.
