Her Story

About Jessica

My career in marketing, communications, and PR has spanned since 2013, taking me across multiple countries and industries. I've worked on branding campaigns in several different countries, from TV and media into the wine industry, personal branding, and now internal communications in healthcare. I found myself at a conference in Singapore regarding red wine, became an influential member of a branding campaign in China, and now I'm in healthcare and optometry at AEG Vision. What I've loved about this career is that it's very fluid, a career that can take you to many different places. Over the course of my career, instead of focusing on one achievement, I think just bridging the gap between all of these different focuses, including PR, internal communication, and marketing, being able to create connections and empowering others, I think as a woman leader is something really important. Doing that across different cultures, in different countries, and now here in the healthcare industry, I think is really quite an achievement.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say that this field is full of endless possibilities. I never imagined that I would be at a conference in Singapore regarding red wine, or that I would end up being an influential member of a branding campaign in China, and now I'm in healthcare and in optometry. Something that I really have loved about this career is that it's very fluid, that it's a career that can take you to many different places. And to just go for it. The opportunities are indeed endless. So, you know, look for what you want, where you want to be, and make it happen, because I truly believe that there are so many different possibilities that are out there. If I could go back and tell myself a piece of advice, it would be, you know, make sure that you do build your own brand image, and don't just focus on others, but focus on yourself as well.
