Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jessica
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the amazing people I work with at Philips who have mentored me and helped me learn along the way, building my reputation through hard work, and the support from my team that allowed me to convert major accounts and achieve Rookie of the Year and Pinnacle recognition.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My manager Paul Canal told me that without schooling on my resume, I might go in the no pile for future opportunities, which pushed me to pursue my bachelor's degree to open more doors.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is growing my territory significantly to multiple states while maintaining work-life balance with my fur babies, and converting competitor accounts which takes years due to high dollar purchases.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Work-life balance is crucial so I don't get caught up working extra hours at home; prioritizing family time back in Wisconsin with my dad the dairy farmer; maintaining strong customer relationships and trust; and achieving challenges like converting accounts to make myself proud at Philips.
