With more than 15 years of experience in healthcare operations spanning primary care, specialty care, and value-based healthcare, Jessica has built a reputation for transforming complex operational challenges into sustainable solutions. Her expertise includes operational optimization, leadership development, workflow redesign, revenue performance, and strategic growth, all centered around improving patient care while empowering healthcare teams to succeed.

Jessica began her healthcare career in 2007 as a Certified Medical Assistant with aspirations of becoming a nurse. As she gained firsthand experience on the clinical frontlines, she recognized the critical need for stronger operational leadership and shifted her focus to healthcare administration. Throughout her career, she has advanced through increasingly senior leadership roles, ultimately founding Value Point Healthcare Advisors to help healthcare organizations align executive strategy with frontline execution. Guided by the principles of servant leadership, continuous learning, empathy, communication, and teamwork, Jessica believes her greatest measure of success is the growth and development of the people she leads. She is currently working toward completing her bachelor's degree in Business Administration, further reinforcing her commitment to lifelong learning and professional excellence.

Outside of her professional life, Jessica is a devoted wife and proud mother of five children, ranging in age from 11 to 20. Family is at the heart of everything she does, and she treasures time spent traveling, creating lasting memories, and enjoying vacations together. A lifelong lover of music, she taught herself to play the guitar and enjoys using music as a creative outlet. Jessica encourages the next generation of healthcare leaders to embrace feedback, ask questions, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and persevere through challenges, believing that every closed door creates an opportunity for a new path forward. In recognition of her leadership and impact, she was selected to be featured in the Influential Women 2026 edition representing Davie, Florida.

Ten minutes with Jessica

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a strong work ethic, a genuine passion for connecting with people, and an unwavering commitment to continuous learning. I firmly believe that great leaders never stop learning—they remain curious, adaptable, and open to new perspectives.

Servant leadership has been a cornerstone of my career. I find the greatest fulfillment in helping others grow, removing barriers to their success, and creating opportunities for individuals and teams to thrive. I believe my success is measured by the success of those around me. When the people I lead succeed, the organization succeeds—and that's the most rewarding measure of leadership.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received was to slow down and appreciate the journey, not just the destination. It's easy to become so focused on achieving the next goal that you forget to enjoy the people, experiences, and milestones along the way.

I've learned that maintaining a healthy work-life balance isn't just important for personal well-being—it's essential for being an effective leader. When you take time to recharge and be present with the people who matter most, you bring greater clarity, energy, and perspective to your work.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be curious, stay open to feedback, and never stop asking questions. Every experience—especially the challenging ones—is an opportunity to learn and grow.

Most importantly, don't let rejection define your path. A "no" isn't the end of the conversation; it's often a redirection toward an even better opportunity. Every closed door is a chance to keep putting yourself out there, building your skills, and proving your value. Persistence, resilience, and confidence in your abilities will take you much farther than perfection ever could.

Believe in yourself, invest in continuous learning, and don't be afraid to take a seat at the table. Your perspective, your voice, and your leadership matter.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges facing healthcare organizations today is the evolution of the workforce. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, attracting and retaining top talent has become increasingly difficult, and organizations can no longer rely on traditional staffing models.

This challenge also presents a tremendous opportunity. Leaders must become more strategic—rethinking workforce design, leveraging technology and automation, developing internal talent, and creating cultures where people want to stay and grow. Success is no longer just about having enough people; it's about building high-performing teams, optimizing workflows, and empowering employees to deliver exceptional patient care.

The organizations that embrace innovation and adapt to these workforce changes will be the ones best positioned for long-term success.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me, both professionally and personally, are communication, empathy, active listening, and collaboration. I believe that truly listening to understand—not just to respond—builds trust, strengthens relationships, and leads to better decisions.

I also believe that no one succeeds alone. Being a supportive team player, showing empathy for others, and communicating with honesty and respect create the foundation for strong teams and meaningful relationships. Whether at work or in my personal life, I strive to lead with integrity, treat people with compassion, and leave every interaction better than I found it.
