About Jessica
Jessica Hall is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) based in New York, NY. She currently works for Our Children, an organization whose mission is to help mothers and children stay connected throughout the mother's incarceration and upon re-entry. In this role, Hall supports visitation and helps mothers grow, learn, and develop parenting skills while incarcerated so they can be better parents. She began her educational journey in 2008 at the Silberman School of Social Work, graduating in 2010, and earlier studied creative writing at Brooklyn College. Hall received the Women's Forum Educational Award, which supported her return to college as a mother. Her path was influenced by her parents' involvement in helping professions and her own early community organizing efforts. Previously, she worked as an intergenerational coordinator for the Department for the Aging, recruiting teenagers for community service programs involving Meals on Wheels and friendly visits with homebound seniors. Hall remains deeply engaged in community outreach, connecting churches, libraries, schools, and bookstores to support programs for incarcerated women and their children.
