Jessica Jackson is a Lead Wind Turbine Technician at Vestas, where she has quickly risen through the ranks thanks to her drive, technical expertise, and passion for clean energy. Initially joining the wind industry after deciding she wanted a long-term career—and landing a job where her husband worked—Jessica quickly discovered a deep love for the field. Over the past several years, she has grown from a technician into a leadership role, now serving as Lead Tech at the Helena Wind site. Her work focuses on troubleshooting, auditing, and quality management, ensuring turbines are running safely and efficiently.
Jessica is known not only for her technical skill but for her dedication to teamwork and mentorship. She thrives on helping others grow and takes great pride in seeing her team succeed. With a bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Arizona Global Campus, she brings both practical and academic insight to her work in renewable energy. Jessica is also a vocal advocate for women in the trades, actively supporting initiatives that empower and uplift tradeswomen across the country.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Jessica advises young women entering the wind industry to never give up on their dreams and to remember that it’s never too late to find your career—your path can start at any point in life, and with determination, you can go far.
