Jessica Kerr is a Logistics Sales Account Executive at Vista Trans Holding whose career is rooted in hands-on experience and resilience. She didn’t begin in a corporate office—she started on a hot loading dock, learning the logistics industry from the ground up through long nights, real-world mistakes, and persistence. What began as a search for stability for her children evolved into a genuine passion for logistics and building strong, trustworthy partnerships.

In her current role, Jessica helps businesses streamline their supply chains through customized transportation solutions designed to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and ensure reliability. With a background spanning freight coordination, OS&D analysis, customer service, and account management, she brings a full-spectrum understanding of logistics operations. Her ability to connect operational detail with client strategy allows her to deliver practical, results-driven solutions.

Jessica believes deeply in authenticity, curiosity, and consistency. She’s known for showing up as her true self, building trust through honest communication, and never quitting when challenges arise. Driven by grit and a people-first mindset, she continues to move supply chains—and relationships—forward with purpose and integrity.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to authentic relationship-building, adaptability, and persistence, along with a people-first mindset that keeps trust and communication at the center of everything I do. Being genuine, solution-oriented, and willing to grow in a fast-moving industry has allowed me to build strong, lasting client relationships.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to learn by doing—hands-on experience, real industry exposure, and embracing challenges are what truly drive growth and confidence.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women entering logistics and sales to choose growth over comfort, stay persistent even when the market is tough, and focus on building real relationships—not just transactions. Trust yourself and your ability to succeed in male-dominated spaces, because perseverance truly makes the difference.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in logistics right now is fluctuating rates, tight margins, market volatility, and ongoing driver shortages. At the same time, there’s a major opportunity to leverage technology and AI for efficiency while preserving the human element in customer service, which remains essential for building trust and long-term relationships.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are integrity, accountability, flexibility, and resilience, and I believe consistency and reliability are the foundation of long-term success in both work and life. I place a high priority on showing up for my clients and my family, while making time to enjoy life with my two daughters and our outdoor adventures together.
