Her Story

About Jessica

Jessica Meyers brings a decade of experience in construction equipment manufacturing to her role at CASE Construction Equipment, where she has held a variety of positions. In her current role, she keeps dealerships stocked with equipment by managing orders from creation through invoicing and handling imports from five countries. She also coordinates with cross-functional teams on cost, demand planning, dealer support, and supply chain optimization.

Before entering this field, Meyers spent 12 years as a cosmetologist, running her own business while putting herself through college. She attended Gateway Technical College at night and completed a bridge program at Capella University, earning her bachelor's degree in 18 months through the FlexPath format while working and raising two young children.

Meyers is active in her community as a friend of the Kiwanis Club and has volunteered as a tax preparer assistant. She recently interviewed for a leadership position overseeing her team for the North American brand, where she hopes to continue growing as a leader.

Ten minutes with Jessica

01What do you attribute your success to?

Success to me is never giving up. I attribute it to the grit I learned as a farmer's daughter. As children, we were included in all the work it took to keep a household of nine running smoothly. The balance of fun after chores taught me that what I hated as a kid is the very thing I admire most in people. Juggling responsibilities has only gotten tougher, and without those lessons, I wouldn't be where I am today.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received was, 'Don't take business personally.' It's easy to feel attacked when someone has a different or better idea, but all it really means is that there's more than one way to get the desired result. Don't let that discourage you. Be grateful you found more than one path forward!

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't be shy, be curious. Ask all the questions. Insert yourself into the conversations. You're not too silly to ask questions. You are worthy of being in that room.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is learning how to stay quick and agile. Competition in this industry is fierce, and there's no room to delay requests or decisions. The biggest opportunity I see right now is further quickening the pace of doing business and making decisions with the help of AI. All of the small wins that save time add up, and they lead to less decision fatigue, so you can make the best business choices possible with greater ease.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My family is and always will be my top priority. If a company doesn't value my need to provide for them and, at times, be flexible so that I can do that, it isn't the place for me. Integrity and honesty are also very important to me in both my personal and professional life.
