Her Story
About Jessica
I prioritize connection as humans because I feel that people are struggling to connect face-to-face and to deliver their truth in an important manner. For me, it's very important to raise my voice in whatever is going on right now in the workforce. I'm all about connection, humanity, and just loving each other. My focus goes to whatever is happening in my surroundings and to my people. As an immigrant, it's extremely hard to see how families that have worked faithfully are going through separation and how racism is rising. I want to influence people in the right way and be a voice for change, not just open up a business, because it's more than just that.

Ten minutes with Jessica
01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Trust yourself, even if everybody tells you no. Have a vision. And if you need a pause, take it, because that's what's going to give you the strength and the fulfillment at the time to start anew, because your mind will be clear, your goals are going to be set, and your strength is going to be reestablished. It helps boost your confidence, helps you be less stressed, and also helps you think with more clarity.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the challenges is that with AI and all these technological advances, a lot of companies are letting go of their staff and relying on machines to do the work, but at the end of the day, the way that we communicate as humans is different. When you go online and on social media, it's just noise. AI is okay as long as we can use it properly and we still prioritize the connection as humans, because I feel that people are struggling to connect face-to-face and to deliver their truth in an important manner. Anytime you go online, you just see kind of the same message, and now you can even tell when it's AI, but a lot of people don't know that. A lot of people are being unemployed, and with everything going on with the economy, and even for the Latin population, it's extremely hard to see this as an immigrant, to see how families that have worked faithfully are going through separation and how racism is rising.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I'm all about connection, humanity, and just loving each other, because that's what we are here for. It's very important to raise my voice in whatever is going on right now in the workforce. I want to be a voice for change, not just open up a business, because it's more than just that.
