Jessica Ribisi
Jessica Ribisi is a finance and accounting professional based in Lehigh Acres, Florida, with approximately 20 years of experience in bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial operations. She currently works in the telecommunications industry as a Finance Manager with Think Simplicity, where she supports billing, customer relations, and day-to-day financial management in a fast-paced environment. Alongside her corporate role, she is also the founder of Jessica Rose Financials, a bookkeeping business she built to help small business owners feel confident and supported in their financial operations.
Jessica’s career began in retail at Publix, where she started as a cashier and advanced into office management, gaining hands-on experience in cash handling and back-office operations. Her early exposure to accounting came from her family, where she learned bookkeeping basics from her mother and observed small business operations through her father’s mechanic shop. That foundation sparked a long-term passion for working with numbers and solving financial problems, eventually leading her into full-time roles in finance and accounting.
Today, Jessica is known for her reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to helping others succeed financially. She balances her corporate responsibilities with entrepreneurship and family life, including homeschooling her children, while continuing to grow her independent bookkeeping practice. Her work is guided by values of integrity, professionalism, and resilience, and she is especially passionate about empowering clients to feel confident and in control of their financial futures.

What do you attribute your success to?
I would attribute my success to my personal drive and consistency. Throughout my career, I've had clear goals, and I make sure to set aside time to work towards them, no matter how busy life gets. Whether it's managing my corporate role, building my own business, homeschooling my children, or supporting their sports activities, I find time for the things I want to achieve. I'm passionate about helping others and problem solving, so I just find the time somehow. I've never stopped moving forward, even when it meant opening my own business while juggling everything else. That drive to keep evolving and growing has been the key to everything I've accomplished.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to never stop learning and just keep evolving. That's something I've really taken to heart throughout my 20-year career. I started in one area, explored criminal investigation in school, then found my true calling in finance and accounting. I've continuously learned new software systems like QuickBooks, Sage, and property management accounting platforms. Even though I didn't go to traditional school for accounting, I've never let that stop me from growing my expertise. I believe that when you commit to constant learning and evolution, you can adapt to any challenge and continue to build on your success.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say believe in yourself and your value. Never be afraid to grow or go through different experiences. Success doesn't happen right away, and you don't have to have everything figured out right away, so take your time. There may be times when you doubt yourself, but that's normal. What's important is that you keep moving forward, stay open to learning, and trust in your abilities. I didn't go to traditional school for accounting, but I believed in what I could do, and I built a 20-year career and my own business through that belief and willingness to keep growing. Don't let fear or uncertainty hold you back from pursuing your goals.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are integrity, professionalism, growth, and resilience. I'm really passionate about helping people feel supported, empowered, and confident in their ability to succeed in their businesses. Whether I'm working with clients in my bookkeeping business or supporting my team in my corporate role, I want people to know they can count on me to do things the right way and help them achieve their goals. Growth is essential to me because I never want to stop learning or evolving. And resilience has been critical in balancing my career, my own business, homeschooling my children, and supporting their activities. These values guide everything I do, both professionally and personally.
