Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jessica

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my 10-year journey in healthcare and legal studies, which has shaped my dedication, resilience, and passion for service. I bring these experiences into my current work, including managing a campaign for the Virginia House of Delegates in 2027, while balancing policy research, events, board responsibilities, and my role as a full-time mother.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received came through the example of my mentor, Dr. Stanford, who inspired me to value multiculturalism and embrace diverse perspectives. My grandmother has also been an important influence, teaching me lessons that have shaped my personal and professional growth.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women is to believe in themselves and live up to their full potential. I started my nonprofit, Helping Hands Can Save Lives, in high school to support students pursuing college, and that commitment to helping others has grown into broader community work through my current campaign, Robinson for Virginia HD56.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest opportunity in my field is the ability to support others and create meaningful community impact. Through my campaign, Robinson for Virginia HD56, I have the opportunity to connect with people, understand their needs, and work toward positive change.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are growth, service, and using my experiences to create meaningful impact. I value sharing my story, applying what I have learned, and helping improve performance across healthcare, education, and business financing while continuing to grow through my diverse educational and professional experiences.
