About Jessica

Jessica Schwartz serves as Head of Development at Roundtable Entertainment, a production company. In this role, she focuses on both film and unscripted television, championing filmmakers she believes in, working hand-in-hand to develop scripts, and securing access to financiers and cast. Her film credits include co-producing All My Friends Are Dead starring JoJo Siwa and developing Back in Black, which premiered at TIFF and stars Christopher Walken. On the unscripted side, she produced Dinner with Gavin Rossdale and was part of the team at ITV that brought Love Island to the United States. Before entering entertainment, she worked as a director and assistant director for major theater companies in New York and Philadelphia after earning her BFA in directing and producing theater. She later pursued an MSA in film at Folsville University. Outside her primary role, Jessica Schwartz is co-president of the Hollywood Radio Television Society Associates Division, where she oversees programming focused on networking, mentorship, and community building.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Have more confidence in belief that you belong, that your ideas matter, that you have great taste. Be aware of feelings that feel icky and pay attention to red flags in collaborators. Be careful on who you decide to collaborate with.
