Her Story
About Jessica
Jessica Stone is the President and Founder of Kingdom Mindset Global, bringing 26 years of experience in mental and spiritual health counseling and equipping to her work. Her career began in clinical counseling before expanding into private practice, and today she devotes much of her time to training and equipping the next generation of counselors and healing practitioners, while continuing to counsel on a limited basis. An accomplished author of five books and a sought-after national speaker, Stone also coaches leaders around the world and is known for leading by example in every setting she enters.
Stone built her academic foundation with a master's degree in marriage and family therapy from Argosy University in Eagan, Minnesota, earned in 2000, followed by a PhD in clinical Christian counseling from Cornerstone University in 2012, where she specialized in using personal assessments to deepen healing and strengthen relationships. As a licensed pastor, she created a six-session marriage program that has played a role in preserving countless relationships; over the course of her career, she has counseled roughly 10,000 couples, an achievement she counts among her proudest. Her faith-centered, whole-person philosophy — one that addresses mind, body, and spirit together — has become the hallmark of her practice and has drawn clients to her from across the globe.
Beyond her counseling and teaching work, Stone is deeply committed to service, serving as a consultant to Minnesota Goodworks, an organization dedicated to restoring the lives of women who have survived sex trafficking, and as a board member of SOAR International, a house of prayer and healing. She grounds both her professional and personal life in the values of presence, authenticity, and love, and she is a passionate mentor to women entering her field, reminding them that their life experiences have already equipped them for their calling. Through her writing, speaking, and global coaching, Jessica Stone continues to expand her mission of equipping others toward healing and wholeness.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jessica
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith, which has shaped my approach to healing and a flourishing life from the very beginning. My work is built around incorporating the whole person — mind, body, and spirit — and I believe that is what makes my approach unique.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've received is to be careful not to become too focused on my immediate circumstances, and to always stay curious. What might I learn from this experience? How might these challenges help me to grow, to become a wiser and more resilient person?
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women entering this industry that they know more than they think they do, and that they don't need as many credentials as the world tells them they need. Their life experiences have already prepared them for their purpose and calling. What we truly need from one another is shared knowledge and shared experience — that is what brings about true healing.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my field right now is mixed messages — the gap between what is communicated to us and what actually plays out. For example, media might tell women, "You are beautiful just the way you are." But every other message is promoting products to lose weight, look younger, dress in the latest trends. That leaves women feeling confused and not content in their appearance or accomplishments.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Staying present in the moment, being my authentic self, and loving others well. These are the values most important to me, both in my work and in my personal life.
