Ten minutes with Jessica

01What do you attribute your success to?

Building strong relationships, commitment to lifelong learning, and a genuine desire to help others succeed, while identifying increased complexity in human resources as a key challenge in her field.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to raise your hand before you feel completely ready. Growth happens outside your comfort zone, and confidence is built through taking action, embracing new opportunities, and learning along the way.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be confident in your abilities, stay curious, and never underestimate the value of building strong relationships and a supportive network; advocate for yourself, seek out opportunities that align with your goals and values, and don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in HR today is navigating constant change, from evolving regulations and workforce expectations to rising healthcare and benefit costs. At the same time, these challenges create opportunities for employers to innovate, strengthen employee experiences, and develop strategies that attract, engage, and retain top talent.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life are authenticity, meaningful relationships, continuous growth, and making a positive impact on the people and communities around me.
