Her Story

About Jessica

I help corporations bring foreign nationals to the U.S. to live and work, handling every case type in corporate immigration. I use my social science degree from the University of North Texas, where I studied sociology, history, anthropology, and English, to write support memos for foreign nationals. I work on extraordinary ability cases for individuals who are extraordinary in their field, helping them obtain non-immigrant visas to work here legally, and if they wish to full-time immigrate to the U.S., I assist them with that process as well. My typical day is very fast-paced, involving a lot of email communication with the foreign nationals I work with, behind-the-scenes strategy for attorneys to review and approve, and legal drafting. It's really cool to be able to bring people with unique talents over to the U.S. so that we can share in various cultures and languages and backgrounds. I really enjoy it, and I get to have a face with the profile, so it's really rewarding. My most notable professional achievement was helping a woman obtain her green card who had a vision board for her family since 2014. I assisted her and her family in getting green cards in 2024, so just being a part of someone's life story was super rewarding. She was in biotechnology, just an amazing scientist and woman, so it was special to think of the trajectory changing for not only her, but her family.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Just be open to continual learning. I think that's the best advice, not only for this field, because law can just change and go up and down and all around, but I feel like anyone who's just getting into their fields should just be open to learning.
